Cinque Terre card Q

On the official cinque Terre website it gives the option of either buying either the train card or the trekking card. However, since the train card allows access to the park area, why would you have to also purchase a trekking card!?!

Someone planning to use the trains a lot - even if not hiking - might buy the treno card. A hiker who plans to trek one or more open segments of the "Blue Path" but only take the train once - back to their starting point - might opt for the trekking card + a single-ride train ticket.

One day adult trekking card: € 7,50 (current price; I've not confirmed a 2024 price increase for heavy tourism days)
A single-ride train ticket (within the region): €5 to €10 depending on season/holiday/weekend.

A one-day adult treno card: €19,50, €27,00 or €32,50 Euro depending on season/holiday/weekend.

So the savings can be significant depending on the planned activities of the purchaser.
