Not asking about Guvano, just in general for CT, what are the attitudes and percentages of women goin topless on the beaches? While we may try out Guvano, just wondering how we will feel in the more public areas.

Lee, I've seen a few topless sunbathers in Monterosso, but it didn't seem to be a widely practiced activity (at least in that location). I've heard that the tunnel leading to Guvano is closed and authorities would prefer visitors to "keep their clothes on" and not go there. Happy travels!

Sunbathing topless is accepted everywhere at the beach (and even public pools) except for maybe inside a church. Some more secluded beaches will have also people totally naked. Young Northern European women are more likely to be topless than old Sicilian women. If you go topless nobody will notice, unless your name is Tyra Banks or someone like that.

We did not see any women sunbathing topless around Manarola, not on the rocks or on the beach in the little cove outside of town. If you decide to do it, don't forget the sunscreeneverywhere. Nuff said.
