We are hoping to spend two nights in Cinque Terre in late July, and I'm concerned because I'm not seeing the words "air conditioning" very often in Rick's guidebook. Like at Albergo Barbara, it says "fans" and I know the rooms are on the top floor. Is this an issue, or am I just too spoiled to enjoy Cinque Terre?
La Mala', in Vernazza, has air conditioning. We're staying there for 2 nights in July. We definitely wanted air conditioning. La Mala' is expensive, but it looks like an absolutely amazing place (check them out on Tripadvisor and www.lamala.it). And, unique to CT, it includes air conditioning, breakfast (at a cafe at the bottom of the stairs), and a free minibar that includes wine, juice and water.
Louis... The other place that is air-conditioned is where we always stay.. Toninno Basso's room at the top of the town..Very, very nice.. but I think he books up about a year in advance. He has a computer in each room for you to use.
Hotel La Colonnina in Monterosa is nice and I believe they had air conditioning. I highly recommend.
