My daughter and I are traveling to CT next month. We would like to stay either in Vernazza or Monterosso Al Mare. Does anyone have a favorite hotel in either of these towns?

If you have a copy available, check the Italy Guidebook as there are lots of choices available. Also, TripAdvisor is a good source of accommodation reviews.
Monterosso al Mare has the best selection of "conventional" Hotels, as it's the largest of the five villages. Vernazza tends to have more B&B's and private rooms.
Are your choices of which town to stay in fairly "firm" or is there some flexibility? You might have a look at some of the choices in Manarola, such as www.cadandrean.it/englishindex.htm or www.torrettas.com provided they're within your budget.
