We're considering visiting Manarola in March and read about Torretta's. I looked at their website and all months this spring show "booked." Is it possible that they are closed and that this calendar is not accurate?
Possibly we could take a day trip from Florence. Any advice is appreciated!

I booked an apt. through Arbaspaa. It was a lovely place for two. There is also an apt above that I believe accommodates two ppl. Three balconies with this property. If you get lower apt ppl staying above will walk through your terrace. We found no problem with this arrangement. Top apt also has balcony plus a roof deck. The view of the sea is beautiful! You will love sitting there with a glass of wine watching the sun set. As I recall Torretta was way up as is everything in Cinque Terra. Our apt was up as well but overlooking the sea which was well worth the hike. Be sure to try Trattoria dal Billy for dinner. Also Marina Piccola and Il Porticciolo. Good luck. Buon viaggio!
Looking at the availability calendars for various rooms at La Torretta, I would say they do not open until April 1. Nothing is available until then.

As Sasha mentioned, it's quite likely that La Torretta won't be open until April 1st, as that's the "official" start of tourist season. That could well explain why no vacancies are listed on their website.
Are you firm on staying in Manarola? There may be a few places open there in March, but you'll have a better chance of finding something in Monterosso. It's the largest of the five towns and therefore has the greatest number of hotels, restaurants and other tourist facilities. I don't know how current THIS LIST is, but you could check some of the lodgings to find out when they're opening for the season.
One good possibility would be Hotel Pasquale, which is a wonderful hotel in the old town area of Monterosso, and an easy walk from the station. Their website indicates they'll be open on 1 March, but you'll have to contact them to see if they have vacancies. I usually stay at their sister property, Hotel Villa Steno, but not sure when they're opening?
