cinque terre

I have a stiff knee, but am desperate to stay in cinque terre for three days, this September.I love the look of Manarola and hear that there is a small bus going up the hill and that some of the accommodation has ramp style paths instead of stairs. We will have been in Italy for 4 weeks by the time we arrive .. .so three days in a nice room with a view and a good book would be ideal. Anyone know of a place that would be suitable. Thankyou

We stayed at Maria Capellini's, the room was one of very few that was on ground level, how do you feel about Vernazza?

we are on our way home from a trip to Italy that included several days at Cinque Terre, staying in Manarola. I loved it there and could have happily spent a week. our hotel, La Toretta, has steps that are impossible to avoid. but you might look at Ca'Andrean, which is right on the shuttle bus route up. ask them about stairs. we met people staying there who loved it, and they have a a lovely garden.

You will be somewhat limited if you must depend totally on the shuttle to goo up and down, but if you can manage an incline, they whole way up to there is pretty free of steps.

Thankyou for that. I will follow up on the Ca Andrean. I am an artist, so as long as I have a good view, book and a nice drop to drink I will be in heaven.Cheers
