I will be in Umbria (San Gemini) in June. While there I would like to drive to Cinque Terre ( I have a car)..there and back in one day. Italian Tourist board said I could drive it in 2 1/2 hours each way which makes this trip possible. But, when I looked on my map it looks more like 4 hrs. each way. If so we cannot make this trip. Please help me out...Thank you.

No way. Viamichelin shows 4 hours just to get to La Spezia. Then you'll have to park and wait for a train into the CT.
