My husband and I will be traveling to Cinque Terre in August. We are looking for a place to stay under or close to $100 a night. I would prefer a B&B but am willing to stay in a hotel. Any recommendations?
77 euros or less per night? That's a really small amount of money for the high season. You might want to check on hotels in La Spezia if that's the top of your budget, as they're likely cheaper, and it's still just a short train ride into the 5 towns. I like to use www.booking.com or www.tripadvisor.com for reviews and searches.
Shannon, As the previous reply mentioned, that's a bit "low" for accommodations in the Cinque Terre in August, which is peak season. I'd suggest looking in Monterosso first, as it's the largest of the five towns and therefore has the greatest number of accommodations. Have a look at Monterosso for a list of Hotels, B&B's and other lodgings. You might also try Mar-Mar Rooms in Riomaggiore, as you might be able to find something in your price range. However, they don't usually provide breakfast so you'd be on your own for meals. Their website doesn't seem to be working normally at the moment, but the E-mail link appears to be fine. Happy travels!

Hi Shannon - We just returned from Manarola where we stayed in a beautiful room in your price range. There was no breakfast but it's a nice room with balcony and an incredible view.

Thanks for all the helpful messages! I understand that $100 is low. I am definitely willing to go up a little, I just thought I'd see if anyone had any hidden gems. We are willing to go up to $150 a night. I have emailed several of the places mentioned and am awaiting replies!
