Cinque Terra to Venice?

We will drive from Tuscany to Cinque Terra in a car. We will park the car and then tour the towns on foot and rail and spend the night. So, what do we do with the car after that? Drive to Venice and turn it in, or bring it back to Florence and turn it in, and then take the train to Venice. We return home from Venice.

After touring Tuscany with a car (good choice) why not return the car in Siena or in Florence and then rail to Cinque Terra. I did the reverse one time Rail into Cinque Terra, Rail to Florence, Rail to Siena, and then Car from Siena through Tuscany. Chianti wine area is fantastic by car.
Have a great trip!

Agree with Jeff. Why pay for a car to park it? Do a short term rental near one of the towns you will be in in Tuscany, then rail to CT and Venice.

We drove from Florence to Cinque Terre (Vernazza) and then on to Venice. We really enjoyed having the car. Trains are terrific, but the flexibility and freedom afforded by a car are also nice (especially with our family of 5).

You might also turn it in in La Spezia then take the train into CT. Parking is difficult in the CT towns, so you probably won't want the car with you there.

I had a lease and parked in La Spezia while visiting CT.
