A friend and I will be in Vernazza from Oct 3-5. We'd love to rent a room in someone's home, with sea view, two beds and a bathroom. Any leads would be appreciated!

Get off the train and walk down to the water, you will see plenty of signs saying "Room for rent" (or "Camere" which is "room" in Italian). In October there should plenty of availability.

Hi Nancy We will be in the CT from Oct 2-5th and I am really struggling trying to find accommodation. I have been told it is stll high season there in October, and do know if this is true or not. I have come close to several nice places and they are gone before I can check with my husband. Are you okya with not pre-booking?

If I dont get any good leads from this, we are going to try getting a room on arrival. We come in on a Sunday, so it may be that people will be leaving.........hopefully! If not, we'll go to another of the towns and try, or sleep on the beach (ha, ha!)

We went from Florence to CT last October and were told that we had to have a room before we got there due to lots of people. I wish we had waited until we got there. Just like Rick and everyone else says, get off the train and start looking in Vernazza. You will find what you are looking for. There were lots of rooms everywhere. Have fun, it is a great time of year to go.

When we went to CT in October I did book first but it was very messy and we did not get the room we had booked Also email was very patchy from CT. Next time I would find probably find something when I got there. BUT plan to get there early enough to do so.
