Cinque Terra or Lakes?

I am torn. We have two weeks at the end of September. We are going to start from Venice then visit lake Como, then Cinque Terra then Tuscany. It looks like two weeks are not enough. Should we skip lake Como or Cinque Terra?

I've been to both--liked the Cinque Terre, but LOVED Bellagio-- so beautiful and relaxing. We were there in April and liked it so well that we extended our stay from 4 days to 7.

Thank you !!. Could you suggest how many days should we allocate for CT , Lakes and Tuscany? What are the best train connections between these points? We are planning to drive in Tuscany but I cannot figure out where do rent the car to avoid parking troubles as much as possible

I would also be hard pressed to choose between the two. In Varenna now and loving every moment. Staying at Albergo Milano. Will be in Vernazza on the CT in a couple of weeks. Happy travels.

Jeff, I just saw your note about time in each location . Thank you! Any other ideas?

I'm a bit biased as I've never been to CT BUT Lake Como (Varenna is where we stayed) was by far our highlight of our trip. It was so wonderful. The whole feeling of the place was like nothing we'd ever experienced.

That being said, 2 weeks should be enough to do all you've said unless you're spending an entire week in one of those locations (which would be wonderful to do, too!)

Natasha, Two weeks would be enough if you budget your time. We went in Oct of 09, for 16 days, and had plenty of time. We spent two nights in Varenna, 3 nights in CT, 6 nights in Tuscany, and 3 nights in Venice. Saw everything we wanted to, and were not the least bit rushed. Enjoy, Jeff
