Is it best to park the car at the train station in La Spezia, or drive into Vernazza? I've heard that there is a new underground parking area at the train station in La Spezia. Is it open yet? What is the charge? What about leaving the car in Lavanto? Jim

We've parked near the train station in Levanto, no problems, plenty of spaces down the road. Tom

I wasn't excited about the parking near the train station (loiterers, broken glass, graffiti). I asked and found free parking across from the gate of the Naval base about a mile away. It was a little hike but the car was in one piece when I got back. They didn't have an underground parking lot when I was there.
