Cinque Terra in early November?

Is it too late to visit at this time? Will restaurants and shops be closed down? We are considering staying in Sestri Levante or Monterosso al Mare in an apartment so we want easy access to food shopping for the in between amazing restaurant adventures. We will be traveling by train only. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Definitely a quieter time, but that might be a good thing in the area! One concern is weather: this is the season with highest chance of rain. What are the other places on your travel itinerary? For many "classic" Italy itineraries, Cinque Terre is a significant detour, hence my question.

I believe some or all of the hiking trails may be closed during the off season. However, I don't know what constitutes the off season.

Thanks for the quick replies! We are now considering moving our dates into late Sept/early Oct after seeing some of the posts regarding CT being "closed" after the first rains. We are working around a wedding stateside.

We are heading to Nice/Vence and then over to Genoa/CT. We could flip the order to start in Italy as well.

Considering VRBO places in Sestri Levante so we can train into and around CT.
