Hello, we will be staying for a few days in Manarola in September, in the middle of the Cinque Terre towns, and would welcome some advice on how best to schedule travels and quality time between each of the towns with the trails, the ferry, and the trains, to see and experience as best as possible with these options. There is a lot of information on this site. See Explore Europe. You can walk between all the towns, the weather should be perfect in September. You can train between all the towns too. I doubt you would need a boat, unless you want a boat ride for the fun of it.

I wouldn't stick to a rigid schedule. Go at your own pace when exploring the five towns. Also take a day trip to Portofino / Santa Margherita Ligure / Camogli.
