I am searching for an apartment in the Cinque Terra coastal region (in town) that sleeps 5 - Any one have a recommendation? Clean and convenient are the two things we need. Thanks!!

I could not find an apartment before I went to CT so when I arrived I walked main street in Vernazza and several people approached me to show me apartments.

You wont have a problem finding one. There will be many agents to greet you. If you dont find one, go into any shop or bar and ask about one.

I looked at 5 before I agreed to one. I recommend inspecting before you rent the unit. You wont know if it is clean and convenient until you see it.

There is a great variety of amenities in each one. I spent an hour looking and was pleased with it after the week we occupied it.

Dont hesitate to look; and decline any which does not meet your needs.

You don't say when you'll be there, and that could affect the availability of an apartment. During July and August it will be packed.

I stayed at La Baia di Rio in Riomaggiore. We had 4 but the room was big enough to hold 5. Check out the reviews on tripadvisor.com. The owners are very helpful and accommodating. I had the top room with the large balcony overlooking both the town and the sea.

I have used Edis Rooms in Riomaggiore before with positive reviews. We actually only needed a double and booked last minute, and were given an apartment with two bedrooms, a living area, and kitchen that would have slept 5 depending on required sleeping arrangements. I will add that with any of the places, if you are just staying a night or two, they may be reluctant to reserve this early, their main focus is people who rent by the week or longer. I point this out only to mention that if a place comes back with no rooms available, try again closer to your date if you find nothing else; they may then have an opening.

We just showed up.

When we got off the train there were people offering rooms. We checked one out but was too small for five of us.

We then went down the hill to one of Rick's hotel recommendations. We told them what we were looking for. Several women had a conversation in the street before taking us to a very nice two bedroom apartment for a decent price. It had no view but was perfect for our family.

Hello, I'm writing from Manarola, one of the 5 Terre. You can find several information about the area and accommodations on this site about the Cinque Terre.
For your specific request you can check also this site with some apartments in Manarola. Particularly their apartment number 3 seems matching your needs.

Best regards.
