We will be spending several days in the Cinque and wondered if it was worth it to bring a pair of binocs with us? We travel light with the RS back packs so everything must have a function. Would appreciate comments

Jim, I've never found much need for binoculars in the Cinque Terre. What do you anticipate using them for? Cheers!

Nope, I wouldn't bother with binoculars. In fact, I probably wouldn't return to the Cinque Terre because I found it to be rather dull. There is some excellent food to be had, but other than that...I'd rather go to the Amalfi coast.

Referring to it as "Cinque" instead of the full Cinque Terre really sounds odd and is off putting. Of course I know what you mean but still.
