Does Schezzini still offer his cicchetti tour in Venice? Frankly, from reading reviews, it sounds like Urban Adventures offers a better (but more expensive) tour. Any recommendations?
I recently had an affirmative response from Alessandro regarding my request to book the tour for September. He won't give a commitment until there are 5 - 6 more bookings for that night, but there was no suggestion that he wouldn't be doing the tours.
Nancy, when will you be in Venice? We are also booked with Allesandro in September. For bherrington, you could also check out Venice Bites at http://www.venicebitesfoodtours.com/. I've heard very good things about them.
I'm in Venice in September, arriving Sunday 25th, staying for 17 nights.
We took the Urban Adventures Cicchetti tour. It was wonderful! Highly recommend it!
I have had recent communications with Allesandro Schezzini about a tour next week. You have to contact him by email. He does require a minimum number of people for the 'bar' tour. When will you be there?
dfm, we're booked (or hope to be) for Saturday, September 24. We also signed up for his "Offbeat" tour, which should take place right before the chicchetti tour. We'll be in Venice a few days before joining the My Way Italy tour on September 25.
Nancy, we're there earlier in the month but we were on his tour last year., We did both the back streets and bar tour and had such a good time that we were planning on doing it again this year, though we may try one of the other food tours in the city. I have coworkers who raved about Venice Bites, though the hosts are American.
Loved Allesandro and did both the Back Lanes Tour and Cicchetti one with him. He told us the same minimum number of people. When we meet everyone for the cicchetti tour we ended up being a group around 20 and that was a Wednesday not even a weekend. Most had their RS books also but weren't on any RS tours, all on their own.
