Cicchetti tour in Venice

Need the name and website/phone # of a good Cicchetti tour. There has been one mentioned on this forum but didnt save the details. I tried Monica Cesareto but she's booked out. Will be in Venice Sun-Tues.

Jenn, we did a cicchetti tour on our own using Rick's Venice book so I can't give a recommendation. I have heard though that Alessandro Schezzini, whom Rick recommends, is fantastic. schezzini.it is the website and phone is +39.335.530.9024/

Yes, jenn, Alessandro Schezzini's tour is wonderful and I would highly recommend him. I have been on two and numerous friends and family have also taken his tours and given him high marks. His contact information (or was) in all Rick's Venice books. You'll have fun with him!

I also took the cicchetti tour this past April and had a great time.
Email [email protected]
He was very responsive. When I first contacted him he didn't have enough people to promise me a tour but did get back in touch with me a few days in advance of my dates to let me know it was going.
And do buy a guide book!

I had the same experience as Andi and SharYn. Alessandro's tour was tasty and quite fun.

Last month we did a cicchetti and wine tour through viator. It was great!! Had lots of food and LOTS of wine. Needless to say everyone was laughing and having a great time. Our group was 11 people, and she took us to 5 different places, all were very good. Would definitely do it again!!!

Hi Jenn
Will be in venice middle of september and was hoping to do something like this, thanks for bringing up subject. Did some research and was shocked at prices of tours! Found couple articles for doing your own:
TheGuardian.com - travel - eat like a local in venice;
SlowTravelItaly.com - cicchetti in venice;
Bacareto da Lele is a bar in the santa croce area;
Read that these bars/pubs are in the back canals, which is great. We are staying in canereggio.
Sending a shout out to SharYn for that email address for allesandro. Will send him one and try to book it.
Thanks everyone
Aloha Princess Pupule

We haven't gone yet but have booked Alessandro's tour for when we are there in Oct (as long as he gets enough people, fingers crossed!) He responded very quickly to our email, and since I don't like red wine, I asked him if I might be able to get white during the tour and he said if I tried it and didn't like it, then I could get white. I thought that was very nice of him.
