Cicchetti Bar recommendations

We will be going to Venice in a couple of weeks and would like to do several cicchetti crawls for our lunches/dinners. We will be staying for 5 days/nights. RS Venice only lists 4. Any recommendations from anyone? We will be staying in the Santa Croce area, but are not limited once we get our bearings. Are there any protocols that we should be aware of, so we don't make fools of ourselves? Thanks
Don

In late June, we enjoyed Cantina do Mori, All'Arco, Osteria alla cuirma, Do Spade, and Osteria ai Stortil. These 5 are near the Rialto Bridge. You might be interested in buying Elizabeth Minchilli's "Eat Venice" app for your smart phone (if you have one). Her suggestions were great! You can search by neighborhood, select cicchetti only, etc... Have fun! You won't feel like a fool. Our cicchetti pub crawl was our favorite meal in Venice.

Don't miss do Mori. We enjoyed it first as part of an organized "crawl" and went back a second time as a couple. Had to stand up for part of the second time but thought it was worth it. Just get a server's attention behind the bar to order your glasses of wine and point to the eats you want. Do Mori is near the Rialto Bridge and actually extends from one alley way to another.
Cheers, Tom

In June, we took a tour with Alessandro Schezzini of three bars. It was great. He organized everything and was a wealth of knowledge. His website is www.schezzini.it.... If you decide to take this tour with him, you might also consider his walking tour of the city that can be paired with the "bar crawl".
