What is the easiest way to get from the Ciapino airport to the Repubblicca Metro Station using the metro. I am in need of directions. Or any other cheap ideas to get to our hotel from the airport Thanks. Sarah.
There is no metro directly to Ciampino from Rome. Your best bet is to catch one of the three shuttle services that will take you to Termini Station. The cost is 5,6, or 8 Euros determined by which bus you get on. (I always take the 5 Euro one).
You can also take a local bus to Anagnina (the last line on the metro) and then ride directly to Piazza Republica) but these busses are usually PACKED and getting luggage on and off them can be difficult - Same thing for going to the train station at Ciampino... you have to ride the local bus there and again, after doing it once it was not worth the hassle of saving 3 Euros!
Or if you're brave (and rich) you can take a taxi from CIA to Republica - despite comments on the link attached below, CIA has a terrible taxi rep.
No I would take a shuttle to Termini, from there you could WALK to Republica (300 yds?) or catch the A line Metro towards BATTISTINI and go ONE Stop!
