Planning a trip of about 10 days, flying into Venice and leaving from Zurich. Any suggestions about the most scenic train route?

The fastest and simplest way to go is via Milan---a journey with a single change (in Milan) taking 6.5 to 7 hours. We were on that route 2 days ago and the section from Milan to Zurich (via Lugano) is very scenic.
I like it much better than the Brenner Pass route for scenery. Also, the Brenner route takes 10+ hours and requires 3 or more train changes.

Most scenic is somewhat relative. All of Switzerland is pretty scenic. Two years ago in June we made that run from Milan to Zurich direct via Lugano and it was terrific. I don't have any experience with the other routes suggested so I cannot compare them but I don't think you would be disappointed going that way.
