Christmas Markets in Italy??????

No matter where I have gone in Europe, it always seems that there are these amazing Christmas markets where ever I go. My typical time of travel is end of Nov & beginning of Dec. I hit Christmas markets in Amsterdam, Bruges, Paris, Germany (of course), Austria (of course), Budapest (one of the best ones I have ever seen), and in Prague (yet another great one in the old town square with amazing sweet sugary bread called trdlo). My next trip is most likely Italy (gonna book some tickets this weekend for $682 round trip, if nothing changes in the next 5 days). Will I be experiencing any Christmas markets in Italy?

I think that I am really just addicted to the hot mulled spicy wine that warms me up from the inside. I gotta have it!

My experience with Christmas market one time in Italy is that they are very different from the more "German" based, northern European. Not as extensive, and more religious with elaborate manger scenes, less emphasis on food and I didn't see any hot mulled spicy wine. It is the Roman Catholic influence.

I found a wonderful Xmas market in Piazza Navona on a trip to Rome a couple years ago. My favorite item was all the befanas (the flying witches who bring the children candy).
