I've been reading up on the controversies surrounding the market the past few years. I'm wondering if anyone has any word on how robust it is this year? I've had requests for several La Befana figures so I'm hoping I can still pick some up there.
I walked by it in 2015, it was a big nothing. There is an excellent toy store at the nort side of the piazza, you might find something there.
Yeah, there was one year there was no market. But I've heard it's slowly gathering speed again.
Sounds like there is a better one at Campo de' Fiori. Check that one out.
Thanks for the suggestion.
The market this year is again limited, basically a bust from what I have read in the Roman press. You may well still find La Befana there, though it won't be as festive as it was years ago.
Hello! I walked through Piazza Navona several times in the last week and the Christmas market was just set up a couple days ago. It seems smaller than the last two times I’ve been, but maybe it’s still early. There’s a store in the piazza that sells Befana dolls if the market vendors don’t have what you are looking for during your visit.
Thank you! The La Befana were my main concern.
Chef Express Caffè at Roma Termini is selling beautiful La Befana figures. The Caffè leads to the Cafeteria, the dolls are on the wall in between the Caffè and Cafeteria.
Y'all are awesome. We're at the airport now waiting to go. Yay!
