We are planning on spending 3 wks or a month in Italy for the Christmas holiday.. We will also have our 3 yrs old lab dog with us.. We were thinking either Florence or Cortona.With not knowing what celebrations will be going on in either place.. any ideas from any one on which place would be more pet friendly.. We are a semi retired couple and have been to Italy 2 times and love both Cortona and Florence so this is a hard choice~! any ideas? grazie

Sherrie, why not spend part of the time in each city? You'll need to check about accommodating your pet, but Italians love their dogs. Are you thinking of an apartment or agriturismo? Those accommodations might be friendler to pets than hotels/b&bs.

We had thought of spending some time in each town.. not knowing what weather is like in December.. we think it would be simplier to just have one place to call home.. we are looking at an apt.. to be in close to places we could walk to.. with an arigma. you have to drive.. and we want to be close to events that are going on in the towns.. but does anyone have any idea as to which place would be a better location for holiday events??
