I just realized that I am taking the train from Rome to Chiusi on May 1, which is a holiday in Italy. I planned to take the bus to Pienza after arriving in Chiusi, and need to know if the bus will be running on May 1, Labor Day in Italy. Will the ticket office be open for me to buy bus tickets? I already looked at car rental companies on that date in Chiusi and they are closed. Hoping the bus is running. Thanks for your help.

Visiting Pienza by bus from Rome is not a very great idea on a regular working day (1 train+2 buses and not so frequent bus service), it's a bad idea on a Sunday (very limited bus service) and is particularly bad on Labor Day (no bus service at all except for the most important lines).
If I were you I would change plans as follows:
1. Go to Pienza another day.
2. Rent a car in Rome the night before and depart early in the morning (on May 1, the only car rental offices open will be at the airport and maybe at Termini)
