So I have a bad back that gives me a lot of grief. Are there places where I can visit a chiropractor or massage therapist while in the bigger cities? Are there any warnings regarding getting legitmate services? Any cautions that massage places might actually be offering services different than I'm seeking and how to tell the difference??
Elaine, Some Hotels may be able to offer suggestions on local medical professionals, and that's probably the best way to ensure that you'll be referred to a legitimate practitioner. I have the same problem (although the degree of "grief" varies), and visit an RMT on a regular basis. As the professional standards may vary in different countries, I'd want to ensure that I was referred to an RMT that has appropriate training for medical and not just relaxation-type massage. Good luck and happy travels!
I am a Chirpractor in California. I can assit if necessary. But you can search Italian Chripractic Association for a list of Doctors in the cities you are visiting. THey may be able to put you in contact with a RMT
