Best and easiest way to get from Chiavari (Liguria) to Genova airport with three heavy suitcases, two backpacks and two people over 60. (Yes,we over packed and over bought this trip.)
Ask your hotel if they can recommend a driver?
Thank You. Yes, hotel quoting 130 E. Taxis at Chiavari train station quoting 100 E. Train with transfers an option but don’t want to do it. Looks like we drag our luggage to Chiavari train station and pay the 100 E.
If you are dragging your luggage to Chiavari train station, why not just take the train from there to Genova Piazza Principe for 4.90 EUR per person and take a taxi from there.
Yes, thought of that idea too until I read a strike was in the works October 9-10. Looks like it’s more in the south, but don’t want to chance it. Sometimes one goes on strike then they all go on strike. I guess we’ll just be lazy and pay for a taxi. Not quite on top of my game anymore. Thank You. Looks like I shouldn’t have bothered to ask the question, doesn’t it. Sorry everyone.
Huh?
Nothing to be sorry for
I’d probably opt for taxi in your situation as well.
we’ll just ...pay for a taxi.
Good decision.
With all that baggage to manage you would be prime targets for pickpockets
might also be worth sending one or two bags home. I did that last year and was well worth the cost...under $200 for one heavy bag.
I believe the company was "send my bag" and it was door to door service. My bag arrived safe and sound a few days after I got home. I was also leaving from Chiavari so without my heavy bag, the train option worked beautifully!
