My wife and I will be traveling down SR222 from Firenze to Siena by car in early May and would like to pair a luncheon and tour /tasting at a winery along or relatively near the R222 roadway. Has anyone done this and can give us a good recommendation or two. We know that reservations are required a day or two in advance to do this, but are hoping to find a few recommendations for good wineries to choose from. (Also, we'll be in Montepulciano and would like a tour there as well).
Any suggestions would be very appreciated. thanks in advance.
