Chianti tour from Florence

Any recommendation for a good private or group tour from Florence (half or full day trip) for 4 adults and 3 kids (8, 10, 13) to go wine tasting (adults, not the kids ;), although they will accompany us, and possibly see Siena or another Tuscan town/village.

We were initially thinking of renting a car and driving, but now we have my sil's family joining us, so all 7 of us can't fit into one car, so that plan is out (and they don't want to drive), so I'm trying to find an alternate option for us. I've looked at some tours through viator, but they seem quite packed and rushed.

This group is amazing with recommendations, so I thought I'd check here to see...suggestions for tours, vineyards, anything you may have to make a 1 or 1/2 day trip in Tuscany (with definite wine tasting) that isn't extremely exhausting for the kids. Thanks so much!

Take a look at Tours by Roberto. They may be able to tailor something to your interests and make it private for the 7 of you since their vans only take 8 or 9 people on their regular tours. We enjoyed our day with Roberto very much.

Thank you! The tours Hy Roberto seems to have wonderful tour options! He unfortunately isn't offering a tour on the day we are looking to go (April 11th). Will see if there's a way to send a note and see if they will organize one for our group. Thank you for the recommendation.

I can't believe it's been nearly five years since we took this Chianti tour, but it was outstanding. The included lunch, with more wine, was one of the best meals of our trip. The current TripAdvisor reviews are consistent with our experience. For a group of your size, I would ask about a private tour.

We took a day long bus trip from Florence through Walkabout Tours called the Best of Tuscany Tour. It was wonderful! We went to Siena, had lunch and wine tasting at a Chianti vineyard, went to San Gimignano and then to Pisa to see the leaning tower! Awesome tour!
