We are going in October with 2 to 4 days in the area. We like small, picturesque towns with restaurants and shops, and near the wineries ( we will have a car, but would take a tour too). Read a lot of good things about each of these towns. Any preferences?

I found Greve to be both beautiful and have many restaurants. A wonderful restaurant (Ristorante di Lamole) is in a tiny village (Lamole) about 10 kilometers away up a winding road. The local Winery (Lamole di Lamole) has a nice wine tasting and pairing, reservation required.
