Hi all. This is my first posting to this wonderful site. I have used Rick's Tuscany book, along with the great advice on this forum, to assemble our 18-day Italian vacation for July 2015. We plan to do 5 days in Tuscany, including 3 in Montalcino (staying at Agriturismo La Crociona) exploring that area and Montepulciano. After six days in Rome we plan to return to Tuscany for seven days, including 3 or 4 in Florence. The remaining time we would like to explore Chianti so that we have covered the main wine regions of Tuscany.
Can you please recommend an area in rural Chianti to stay (such as another agriturismo) and any other ideas for exploration? Grazie!
