Chef Moreno's Class?

We have very little time in Milan, 2.5 days. However, given that one day was Mon (when most things closed), we decided to go up to Lake Como and see the sights. Should we take the cooking class there that day, or is it a waste of time and we should boat around the lake instead?

My husband and I really enjoyed the class! We learned how to make handmade pasta and other dishes, met really nice people, and enjoyed spending part of the day with Chef Moreno! He picked us up at the square in Varenna at 10:00 and dropped us back in the square around 3:30.

Could you spend the night in Varenna? I'd recommend the class but with only one day it's a tough call--it depends on how much you think you'd enjoy the class, the rest of your itinerary, etc. Either way, I don't think that you can make a bad choice.

Thanks. Thats the thing. Just a day trip to the lakes is all we have. We are both huge foodies and this is our first full day in Italy after arriving at noon the previous day. I am guessing just boating around to Bellagio and walking around would be great as well, but if we finish at 3:30 not sure if we would have time. Did you go to Bellagio as well? Thanks!

Hi Brad,

We spent 3 nights in Varenna and did take the ferry to Bellagio and Menaggio. They are fun to visit. With just one day, it's probably best to save the cooking class for another trip and see more of the cities around the lake! Have a great time!
