To Poste Italiane I send letter from Bronx ny on march 1 , 2013 the person didn't receive letter yet , can you please find out where is the letter . The number on the recept is LC770506535US . Thanks . If I send this message to the wrong place please direct me to correct website .
Inna, There's no way any of us will be able to trace your letter. I'd suggest contacting the U.S. Postal Service. The tracking number you provided may only be of limited use, as it may not be tracked too carefully once the Italian postal service gets it. Good luck!
I'm sorry; the USPS only shows that it was processed through the sort facility in Jamaica, NY, on the afternoon of March 02. I don't know if it ever left be USA...so you should check with the USPS; perhaps they don't show what happens after sorting in the last USA facility. The USPS says to call 1-800-222-1811 (Track and Confirm customer service) and give them your tracking number. Good luck.
This doesn't help you but we just had the same experience... We sent an important piece of mail from San Francisco to NYC last Friday (it was guaranteed to arrive 3 days later on the 25th) and it never arrived. Called the post office with the tracking #. They say they can't find it. They were totally useless. Good luck Inna. We will never use the USPS to send important mail ever again. Only UPS.
Oh my gosh - USPS is the worst! They lost my order of textbooks and could not possibly locate it. A week later they called to tell me they found it and it was on its way...never showed up. I called back to the number that had originally called me. They hadn't a clue as to what I was talking about, and the USPS employee lady was absolutely the rudest person I've ever spoken with. I took her abuse until I finally just asked for a manager. The lady laughed at me and hung up. I now avoid USPS at all costs.
Tim is exactly right. USPS is THE worst. Have lived next to the post office for 19 yrs and for 19 yrs have had some mail never delivered or frequently put in a neighbors mailbox by mistake. Have made complaints over the years, nothing changes. They are completely incompetent. A joke. The worst.
We have been lucky enough to never had a problem with USPS in thirty years at one box number. We use USPS as much as we can when sending packages, and parcels overseas.
Never ever had a problem with USPS either. While I've had both Fedex and UPS mis-deliver packages meant for me plenty of times. Fedex also once left a box on my stoop meant for someone else across town. When I called them to pick it up, they asked if I wouldn't mind delivering it for them!
The USPS and the Italian postal system are the perfect storm of communication. Never had many problems with USPS until I moved to Toledo - I can't tell you how many times they've returned mail to sender because I once had a change of address (and yes, I filled out all the forms).
I've never had a problem with USPS. In fact, all my problems have been with UPS, who frequently leave my packages at the wrong address. FedEx has done it once too. How strange we've all had such different experiences!
