Hello!
We are going to Bellagio and staying at the Bellagio Hotel for 3 days and to Venice for additional 3 days staying a few steps from Piazza S Marco. Would you please recommend places to eat that are not expensive and hopefully decent food? Thank you in advance.

In Varenna on Lake Como, we like Bar Il Molo, good reasonably priced food with fantastic scenery, all covered outdoor eating. Just look for the white chairs with Iris' on their backs.

In the Rialto area there is an out of the way place named Pane aniele on Calle DVino e San Dei Boteri. You should be able to use Google Maps to locate it. Definitely a local place, good food, good house wine, and not expensive at all.
We generally avoid canal side places to eat as they are usually overpriced and under quality. There is an exception. You might want to try Trattoria Da Giorgia ai Greci. It is very close to San Marco and an easy walk to get away from the crowds. A bit pricey, but the food is really great. You should be able to check out the menu on line.
