Hello, I am looking for either an inexpensive hotel or a well-priced hostel in Florence. We are STUCK and we are desperate for a mother and 2 teenage daughters for New Years Eve ! Please Let me know !
Thanks
Suggest you try www.monasterystays.com. Used them this November for 8 nights in Tuscany and a double was an average of 70 Euros a night.
I have stayed at Hotel Giappone a couple times and was happy with it. Great location. The only asterisk is that its up a few flights of longs stairs. Beyond that, the location is superb and its cheap.
Christine, You might try contacting This budget Hotel to see if they have any vacancies at that time, and whether they'll be operating on New Year's Eve. My last visit to the Hotel was a few years ago, and I found it somewhat "basic" but comfortable. The breakfast wasn't elaborate, but typical of the "Continental Breakfast" served in Italy. The owner (Ignazio) was enormously helpful! I'd suggest reading some of the reviews on Trip Advisor to ensure that it meets your criteria. Happy travels!
I've stayed twice at the Archi Rossi Hostel. Clean, pleasant, great location.
There is a list of inexpensive places here: http://www.florence-journal.com/florence/2009/10/hotels-in-florence-for-under-150.html
Hi Christine; We stayed at : http://www.calza.it/ in Florence, it is south of the Orno River, very clean, close to the Bus route, has nice rooms and reasonably priced. I believe it is a former religious facility.
Have a great trip!
