Changing Trains in Bologna in 15 minutes

Have booked Italo Train 9932 for tomorrow leaving Naples at 11:25 arriving in Bologna at 15:00. Changing to Train 2238 leaving Bologna at 15:15 for Venice. Is this possible to do?

Who sold you a short, non protected connection between competing companies?
It would be difficult even if you knew the station, where to go By heart and if you could hurry from the underground track 16 to the surface track 8 without luggage in tow.

Train #2238 is a Regionale Veloce, strange choice, but there is a Benefit: If you miss it for whatever reason, you can freely board the 16:15 Regionale train to Venice and the other locals departing within the following couple of hours.

Obviously the cheapest ticket bought from Thetrainline or Loco2. But like Dario said, if you miss the connection, just take the next regionale veloce 1 hour later. That link he gave doesn't seem to go anywhere.

Go ahead and try to hurry to that second train --- you might be lucky and it will be 5 or 10 minutes late.

It originates in Bologna, so will probably leave on time.

Your Italo train will arrive on tracks 16-19 on lower floor -4. Hurry! Take the escalators up to level -1, the passageways under tracks 1-11. If you have a cell phone, I would download the TrenItalia app. You can enter the train number and find out from which track it is scheduled to depart. When you arrive at the track, double check the lighted board to make sure it’s your train. They sometimes change at last minute.

Today, train 9932 arrived on time at 1500. Train 2238 left from track 8, 4 minutes later than scheduled.
