Changing trains

I am going from Naples to Cinque Terre on July 2. I am looking at the Trenitalia site and there is a train that leaves Naples arrives in Monterosso Al Mare, with one change in Rome. The time given to change trains in Rome is 17 minutes. Is that enough time, or should I keep looking? Also, is it too early to book now for July?
Thanks so much!

17 minutes should be sufficient time to transfer.

Get the Trenitalia app and you can usually see which track you will need to move to for the transfer.

I doubt any more journeys will be added and it is early to book but not too early.

With train changes, I always check the electronic sign boards when I arrive in a station just to confirm the train number and which track (Binario) my next train is departing from. Try to be ready at the door with your luggage, so that you can disembark promptly in Rome..
