We will spend our first two days in Switzerland before going to Itally. Is it easy to change the francs into euros?
Should we do this in Switzerland or Italy?
Or do we swallow what we have left.
thnx much

We kept both our Euros and Swiss Francs for future travel. It wasn't a lot although we did have about 80 dollars in Euros. We had a neighbor buy them off of us and they're gone now. Wait until you see how colorful the Swiss Franc is. Although Switzerland prefers their own currency, most tourist (i.e. restaurants, shops), will accept Euros. But, the conversion rate is terrible. You probably could convert your CHF to Euros before departing the country but again, you won't like the conversion rate.
Thanks, guess I will just have to be careful not to get too much... hah
I highly doubt you will have any problem getting rid of your Swiss Francs in Switzerland because everything is SO expensive.
If you don't want to keep your Swiss Francs then just use your extra and pay your hotel with your extra Swiss Francs and the remaining balance can be put on the Credit Card.
Ahhhh, why didn't I think of that? That's what happens when you stay up too late trying to set things up
thnx
