My apologies if this has already been covered but I haven't noticed it come up in the forum so…
The base-priced € 72.00 Firenzecard no longer covers public transportation or wifi, and doesn't come with some of the goodies - such as a Florence museum guide - that it used to. To obtain these extras, you must purchase the additional € 5.00 Firenzecard+ at the same time as you purchase your Firenzecard. Firenzecard+ is ONLY available with purchase of the Firenzecard.
The website doesn't make this abundantly clear as it's not mentioned at all on the main page of the website, and it's easy to overlook that little plus sign (+) in the FAQs about the card(s).
The info for Firenzecard+ is covered under the "Store" tab of the website:
Florence is pretty compact so quite a number of tourists don't have the need for local transport but travelers with mobility issues may want to tack this extra on if purchasing the base-priced card either through the website or sales outlets in the city.
