Are cemeteries easily accessible in Sicily? I am wondering how one goes about finding out where cemeteries are located in towns in Sicily. My ancestors are from Cianciana in Agrigento province and am trying to find out if there are local cemeteries or had families buried their members in family plots on farms where they lived.

Perhaps if you contact the towns churches. There seems to be 3 in the town, all from the 17th century (I googled) so if you write to or visit the priests they may be helpful. You can also view the town on Google Earth and you may be able to discern cemeteries.
