I have used Mobal on several trips with very good results. I have a signal on whatever network is available and no worries with going from country to country, including the US. The only downside is the high cost/minute but that's not a problem since I just use if for short calls to make reservations, etc.

There was an identical thread recently. Try using search. If that doesn't work use Google advanced search and look for Mobal on ricksteves.com helpline
