CBD in Europe

I am interested in finding out if it is legal to take CBD in to Italy and France. My Orthopedist suggested that I use a cream on my knee and to take dummies or the oil. Any information is appreciated

It is unrestricted in France (as long as there's less than 0.3% THC), there are CBD shops at every corner these days. No idea about Italy.

The Voltaren [NSAID] gel for joint pain used to be prescription only, but is now available at Costco, Amazon, etc., without an rx. I have found it to be very effective for joint aches.
Safe travels!

I have seen several stores in Rome that sell CBD. I imagine it’s sold all over Italy.

Hashish oil is a little different than CBD ointment.
Russia is a lot different than Italy or France.

I use CBD oil orally for a hip injury. I had no trouble finding the product in Rome. I did not travel with anything as laws are different in various places and I don't need the hassle. I simply purchased some when I got there.

I have heard that different regions of Italy have differing rules regarding CBD so you probably want to be aware of where you are.

Unless you have sent a sample of the product to a lab to get it analyzed for THC content, I would NOT take anything containing cannabinoids across international borders. Just buy what you need there

Official TSA response - as long as it's <0.3% THC it's okay.

I would look for something that is labelled that way on the exterior of the package to be extra sure to avoid issues. As people have said you can buy these products in both countries already. Even bringing prescription drugs into Europe isn't really an issue - you don't have to use the prescription bottles etc. when crossing borders.

Anecdotally my wife was travelling with CBD and even being pulled out as a liquid going through Heathrow no one cared.
Also you can get 2% Voltaren cream from the Farmicia in Italy without a prescription if you need it.

I understand you concern but I wouldn't let it worry me.
Have a pain free trip,

Just an FYI: we have 2% Voltaren over-the-counter in France, too.

This is an old thread that was revived by a spammer today. And the OP never came back to the thread.

Thanks Badger, I missed that. Maybe the mods should lock it?
