I need to catch a 10:50 flight from Rome airport to split on a saturday. I want to take a 7 am train from florence which gets me to rome train station at 8:45. does that leave me enough time?

Barely and you may need some luck. While the train to the airport only takes 30 minutes you need to allow at least another 30 to get to the train and to the terminal and hope that you don't have to wait 25 minutes for the next one. That would put you at the airport around 9:45 to 10. There is a 45 min cut off at the check-in which may/could kick in at 10:05. However, if you had your boarding pass with carryon you might make it. What is your fall back plan if you don't?
