Hello,
Are there areas of Catania that are preferred by Air BnB users? Do people prefer to stay in the City Center or beach area?? Ive seen posts that recommend the area near Ursino Castle and others that say thats not a good area to stay- planning on making that my base for 5-6 days- any suggestions??

We definitely need confirmation or correction from others because I am not sure and don't want to lead you astray. After looking at a map and trying to remember my experience three years ago, I think I'd shoot for the area around the Duomo or the area closer to the very large park (unnamed green area) shown on Google Maps to the north. The park to which I'm referring is bounded by Via Sant' Euplio, Via Salvatore Tomaselli, Piazza Roma and Via Domenico Cimarosa.
