I just checked the mass transit schedules for airport transfers to Taormina from Catania airport and it is not very time efficient. I am thinking a taxi or shuttle service would take a good hour off the destination. Any suggestions for a company to use for either a taxi or shuttle company? Thank you for any advice!

I just made this trip a few weeks ago. I arranged pick-up with our apartment rental. Person met is in the airport, was parked 2 min away, and drove us directly to our apartment - the drive was pretty easy. Cost 70 Euros - not cheap, but efficient use of time.

We used Sicily Shore Tours to get us from the Catania airport to Taormina. Nicely done. Our flight was about 90 minutes late and the driver was there when we landed.

Thank you for your recommendation. We are now comparing renting a car vs hiring a transport service. Since we will be in Sicily for two nights, it looks to be about the same price.
