hey!! I stayed in Catania for a week and mostly just ate my way around the city haha, food there is sooo good :) For something local and casual, I really liked Trattoria da Antonio, super simple but the pasta and seafood were great. Also had a really nice dinner at Me Cumpari Turiddu, a bit more traditional vibe. For something quick, definitely check the street food around the fish market area, arancini and fried seafood there were very good. When we were planning I also looked through here and here just to get a feel for the city and saved a couple spots from there.

Agree about ME CUMPARII TURIDDU; we had a lovely dinner there the year before.. Do try their donkey meat dishes--very tender and sweet. I wrote about dinner there on this thread, from 2023:
