looking for a place to stay in Castelrotto and ran into the term 'half board' at a B&B. gave rate with breakfast and then half board for about 10 euros more. what does it mean?
Any recommendations for reasonably priced rooms w/breakfast or apartments here would be appreciated.

10 euros extra for dinner with the half-board option is a great deal. The food is generally excellent.
Just a warning: Look carefully at the listings. B&B rates are usually (but not always) given per room. Half-board rates are per person. Someone I know missed the pp designation. Got a nasty surprise at checkout time. For a B&B to provide dinner for two for just 10 euros seems like an unreasonably good bargain. Actually, it's a pretty good deal for one person.
Yes, we understand that the room was 55 euros a person plus 10 euros for half board. So I guess this is a good rate from the responses we have gotten so far.
