Hello again travelers, I saw many great posts about the Castello Di Verrazzano winery. Has anyone experienced the public transportation to get winery from Florence? How was the ~30min walk? Would renting bikes be an option too, rent bikes but them on the bus (if allowed)? Thank you for the help! Robert

We had a car when we went there and I have to say I had such a wonderful time.I laughed so hard I cryed. The food, wine, service and the new wonderful people we met will always stay in my memory. We stayed in their B&B just down the hill and it was awesome too. Whatever you do find a way to get there!!

We took a bus from Florence to Verrazzano. If I remember correctly, it was about a 30-40 minute ride. Be sure and arrange for staff of the winery to be at the bottom of the hill to pick you up. Some people may walk up to the winery, but it was much more pleasant to have a ride. The tour and lunch were well worth our time as it was one of the highlights I experienced in my 13 days in Italy. I hope you will take the opportunity to enjoy the beauty and great experience of this winery.
