Castello di Brolio? Or other castles/wineries in Tuscany?

I am interested in any comments about Castello di Brolio (castle and winery). TripAdvisor has very good reviews, although some complained that you really couldn't visit very much (or any?) inside the castle. The castle website indicates that reservations might be needed, but it's not clear if that's only needed for a tour rather than just a self-guided walk-around. Any comments will be appreciated. I've also heard about Castello di Verrazzano, but I haven't checked into it yet.

My husband and I recently toured Verranzzo. We really enjoyed the tour and the tasting. I have a bottle of their balsamico and am treasuring every drop!
