Is it possible to do a day trip from Castellini to Lucca in one day without being too rushed?

It is about a 90 minute drive. Do you intend to visit Volterra? It is closer and also very beautiful.

Yes we plan to visit Volterra and Gimignano. We have been to Sienna, Pisa and Florence on past trips so this time we won't visit them. Any other must do places for day trips?
